I have installed the ati drivers and everything seems to be working great. But when I run the fireglcontol command to access the ati control panel I get this message.

Please help me!

I want a gui panel so I don't have to go through fglrx everytime.

The ATI Control Panel installs at:

SUSE-->System-->Configuration-->ATI Control

If not available as regular user try logging in as root.

I have the latest driver installed.

ATI Control Panel

Hello,

Has anyone solved this. I have the same problem and it persist even logged on as root.

I just installed SuSE 10 and found it to be the easiest Distro to set up yet. I have the ATI drivers installed and 3D accelleration test good in glxgears, 4200 fps.

I ran these in init 3

rpm -Uhv fglrx_6_8_0_SUSE100-8.20.8.1.i386.rpm

sax2 -r -m 0=fglrx -b /usr/share/doc/packages/fglrx/sax2-profile

and accepted the default setup.

Just like that everything was working like a charm, except the ATI control panel.

Thanks Nor

answer found

I found the answer in another post.

You simply need the edit the command line in the ATI start menu to read

"fireglcontrolpanel"

Now it works.
