Installing with SUSE 9.1


how do you install programs using SUSE 9.1? im new to linux and am having trouble with using it, any help would be greatfully recieved!

use YAST .posts 1 and 10 give details for setting up sources for suse.afterwards,it's just a matter of running "Install and Remove Software".

Why doesnt SUSE recognise *.exe files and come up with a menu to select the program to open with? and which program do i use?? somebody please help

i'm trying to install diablo 2, will it be the same with all windows software?

windows software won't run directly on linux.wine or cedega (??) would be your best bet.i don't use either so i can't be more specific.

You can't run Windows software in Linux unless you are using WINE or Cedega(for Windows games).

EDIT: Beat me

BTW Cedega can run Half Life 2 so I'm sure it can run Diablo 2 also.

ok. ive figured out how to install windows programs onto linux using wine, but i dont have sound can anybody help me resolve this issue
