fsck Cant stat c0t8d0s0-1

Hello all,

I have a problem with a Solaris Sun OS 5.10 Server, I think one of the drives has failed the thing is that I dont know how to fix it or even be sure if its damage...

When the server boots it says it cannot access c0t8d0s0 and c0t8d0s1 disks and that I have to manually do fsck, and when I do fsck it just says cant stat disk.

Is there a way to fix or analyze the disk cuz the weirdest part is that I can browse the files that are supposed to be damaged...

Thank you all...

If you can see the files it suggests the filesystems mounted successfully.

It may be that the device changed. Type "df" to see what is mounted - it should show the device on the left and the mountpoint on the right.

You do NOT want to run fsck on mounted filesystems. You'd want to umount them first then run fsck on the devices.

Well, the c0t8d0 disk is missing. It might be an internal or external scsi disk that is unplugged.

I had to do some cleaning on the server, it was like opening a pharaoh's tomb or something, so I checked that the disks were properly connected, which they seem to be, but still I reconnected them and voila, it works again but with some major warnings, so I guess its time to replace the hard drive...

Thank you again jlliagre
