Lilo help

I'm new here and have found this place extremely helpful, however I run into a problem I was hoping to get some help with.

I have been trying to install Slackware 10 all day, and managed to get it to recognize my sata drive (thanks to a custom made iso). Except, my only problem I can't seem to figure out is getting LILO copied to the MBR. I have disabled my motherboard's boot protection and what not and can't seem to get it copied. Any ideas?

Update: After much trial and error, I finally got it to install. Slackware was trying to install it to the default location of /dev/hda which nothing is there...most of the time. I had to edit it to look for the mbr at /dev/sda ...anyhow...even though I answered my own question, hopefully this may help those with SATA drives.
