Made a bootdisk with RedHat 7.1 to boot: Gave me SYSLINUX, not LILO:Want to use LILO
Hopefully the subject is self-explanatory. Anyway, I just installed Red Hat 7.1 on my 'box', and didn't want to use LILO. So, I went ahead and made a LILO bootdisk. Only problem was that it was not a LILO bootdisk, but a SYSLINUX bootdisk! Now, when I go to use it, and press enter to boot linux, I get a message that says something along the lines of "boot failed: change disks and retry." What I want to know is how to get/make a LILO bootdisk so that I can boot Linux from /dev/hdb5. If I can't, then how would I use SYSLINUX withought having to put ANYTHING on my Win98 partition. Thanks for any help that can be provided!!!!!
