xorg.conf - error HELP!

I was trying to get the wheel on my mouse working, and now when I load up the GUI I get the error message

"Pause error on line 1 of section (null) in file /etc/X11/xorg.conf "tm*%£%$x" is not a valid key word in this section"

how do I get it back to normal? I need simple steps HELP!!!

well by your post i will assume a backup file was not created prior to editing.
so you can try this to get back to X.
run
xorgsetup
this will auto detect your video and monitor and generate a new xorg.conf file.
slackware has a few extra font packages that aren't included but you can set those up later.

and as for the mouse wheel, this is what you need to add to the mouse section:
if you have a usb mouse you may need a different protocol than this:
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Buttons" "5"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
