I don't know what's going on. It is probably some setting in Firefox. I have tried Firefox, Konqueror & Seamonkey in Slackware & Firefox in Kubuntu. Same results everywhere. I'll try setting Firefox back to parade rest to see what happens.
Try accessing it through a proxy as your IP might be filtered/blacklisted.
A good search engine that has a (web)proxy functionality and works well here in Europe is https://www.startpage.com/
Put https://alien.slackbook.org/blog in the search field, press Go and then click on the Proxy link form the first result (should be Alien Pastures - (alienBob).)

OK! This did work. I don't understand all I know (& I don't know much) about this problem. Don't know why my IP might be blocking Eric's site, but there you go. I'll get at it through the proxy for a while. Thanks for all responses.
This inability to access AlienBOB's site should be only temporary. You might want to try to change your public IP address, disconnect/reconnect your ISP line if you have a dynamic public IP address alocated from your ISP.
I guess the hosting company were the site is published has some active/predictive filters and your IP (more likely the whole regional customer IP range from your ISP) is banned. The cause here could be your neighbor, if he shares the same ISP with you, doing some wrongdoing on the Internet. It could be also a routing issue from your ISP-US to Europe, but that's highly unlikely.
Finally, it could also be your gov/institutions in the US, banning you from accessing advanced Dutch Alien stuff. Believe me, those flying Dutchies are crazy people, lovely too, I've spent some months in Utrecht and can share a little secret with you now, look where AlienBoB just parked his UFO: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...ember_2003.jpg https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Inktpot
