Thanks for the link.
The Linux Kernel Archive message board was down for the last 8 days. It finally came back to life at midnight last night EST. The U.S. has been on Daylight Saving Time since this last Sunday morning, but the site is still time stamping the messages as Standard Time.

How do you install VMWare Workstation Pro 16 on a Slackware host? I have done it in the past but it was a little awkward to install it and I can't remember exactly what I did.

Are folks using SIMPLEFB?

I enabled it when the option first showed up, but the i915 seems to create its own framebuffer anyway, so I end up with two:
Code:
$ cat /proc/fb
0 i915drmfb
1 simpledrmdrmfb
$
For now, I've gone back to the old way.

Yes, I always forget between Updates so I put it in a script to remind myself the next time

In the past you had to create a /etc/pam.d directory. From Slackware 15 on you no longer need to do that, of course.

On slackware64-14.2 it required a python3 from SBo, on 15.0 it just works out of the box.
