Looks like I'm not the only one who has problems with bluetooth using the 5.10.x kernels...
At least for me, I got an error message like below from dmesg:
Code:
Bluetooth: hci0: don't support firmware rome 0x11020100
Searching for it in the internet led me to this bug report: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=210681
In that bug report, someone suggested to revert this commit and then recompile the kernel. So I tried that, then the above error went away and my bluetooth adapter was detected again.
The 5.10.3 kernel works on my i7 3770S on Z77 no name PC, however i continue to use 5.4.x because i need my GTX 1060 to work with the binary blob which does not build (455.45.01) with the most recent kernel yet.

Nothing fancy nor special, just my 2 cents
It built for my GTX 1070. I'm confused with all these NVIDIA problems with this kernel. I'm just not knowledgeable enough to help anyone with this. Are you using Slackbuilds or the .run installer from NVIDIA's website?
Distribution: Slackware64-current with "True Multilib" and KDE4Town.

There will be a second round of release candidates for the 5.10.4 and 5.4.86 kernel updates.
They are expected by 10:00 on Thursday, 31 December 2020, GMT.

I ran the nvidia supplied .run installer. it failed to load the module, whereas it managed to somehow build it.
The Nvidia driver module? It has to be built before it can be loaded.
I had the 455.45.01 installed and it is running the very same install but on 5.4.81 i use as i write this.
I reboothed to 5.10.3 the other day, got in runlevel 3 and ran the installer with -K option (only build module).
Upon finishing the build it reported that it exited with a error failing to load the module.
I rebooted with 5.10.3 just to make certain it's a clean boot
No dice
So, in effect, either 5.10.x requires some more tweaking (i have no time for that right now), or the 5.10.3 and nvidia binary blob are not ready to work with each other yet on my system for whatever reason.
Historically, issues like this usually go away after few days/weeks at most when nvidia releases a updated package addressing a more recent kernel.
I graded the module build as "failed" for the final outcome (my bad wasn't clear enough) not the very build process that seems to result in a module built.
Moreover, as I ran the 5.10.3 with the "failed" 455.10.3 i got to XFCE4 (4.16 ) and while it worked it didn't show on my 2nd monitor at all - i decided to just (cowardly) wait it out
Once I'm offloaded with side tasks might come around and chase this to the bottom of the sack, just not right now.
