What if Pat read this thread and release SW13 on one of the days no one suggested? That would be awesome :P

Or smaller. There is nobody ANYTHING more than Bob. As Dan from Linux Outlaws said, can't mess with his Bobness (it was a Bob Marley reference, but obviously he was channelling The Real Bob).

Hello all.

My guess is 07.08.09. Kde 4.3 should be ready in two days and I think Friday would be a good choice.

I agree.
Judging by the last lines in the changelog (linuxdoc-tools rebuilt) (nearly) everything is ready. And Friday is an obviously good choice, too.

I was thinking along the same lines as dolphin. If he has waited this long, I am really hoping he puts in the KDE 4.3 release. So I will guess 8 Aug 2009, mainly because that is the day that I am flying back to Germany, so I won't have a chance to install it. But then I will be on the Lake the rest of this week, so it could be anytime within that window. :P

Isn't that how things usually go??

It'll happen between August 11th and 24th, since I'll be away on vacation (in SFO).

There's also the third reason why 07/08/09 is a perfect day for releasing slackware:
I'll turn 30 on that day It would be a great gift from Pat

Hi folks! We're going to call this set of updates RC2. There are still
README files to be handled (that's the nature of documentation, I guess), as
well as some other things remaining on the TODO list, but X seems pretty
stable now, and it seems like a release soon would be in order so that we
can march right back into development territory with -current again soon. :-)
Enjoy, and let us know about any problems you run into!
Getting closer. Looks like those hoping for KDE 4.3 are going to have to wait for 13.1, or put it on themselves.

Going with a x.0 KDE version could be a bit "adventurous" for a release
