strange logs
I got my new laptop running nicely with Slackware 9.1, still a coupleof little things to get working, but its coming up nicely. There is however one problem. Whenever the computer is connected to the local house LAN, /var/log/syslog gets flooded with the following:
Oct 23 17:42:02 Omega kernel: psparse-0589 [74274] ps_parse_loop : During nam
e lookup/catalog, AE_ALREADY_EXISTS
Oct 23 17:42:02 Omega kernel: psparse-1121: *** Error: Method execution failed [\_SB_
.PCI0.LPC0.BAT1._BST] (Node c15b43a8), AE_ALREADY_EXISTS
Oct 23 17:42:07 Omega kernel: dswload-0269: *** Error: Looking up [PBST] in namespace
, AE_ALREADY_EXISTS
The log is filled with this line(s) over and over again, and i have no clue what it means.
Any ideas what is causing this?
Thanks for any help!

Nope, its a 2.4.22 kernel. Also the syslog spits this out only when i'm on the network. When i disconnect the network cable it stops. Thats why i though it has to do with the LAN
