Strange FTP logs


Here are my FTP logs (Pureftpd as you can see)

Aug 23 18:22:12 monster pure-ftpd: (?@RemoteIP) [INFO] New connection from RemoteIP 
Aug 23 18:22:13 monster pure-ftpd: (?@RemoteIP) [INFO] Logout - CPU time spent: 0.050 seconds.

How the RemoteIP could establish a new connection to my server and then log out?
