Slackware 14.1 dvd not booting.
I have just downloaded the Slackware 14.1 DVD from the Slackware torrent site and it will not boot, even with resetting the bios. I couldn't boot the 14.1 source dvd either. Has any one else had this problem or am I missing something.

How did you burn the ISO file to DVD?

14.1 Source dvd - DVD contain source code only, not binary distribution. Use slackware64-14.1-install-dvd.iso for installation 64 bit as example.

Slackwaer 14.1 dvd not booting.
Thanks for your prompt replies guys. I downloaded the 586 install download and burned the dvd on k3b at 2.5 speed.
Reset the bios on my Dell Lat. laptop and nada.

Hi,
What was the md5sum check for k3b before burning image? Compared to listed 'md5?
I always check my downloaded ISO image 'md5sum' before burning?
Then I will check the media to confirm a valid image.

If the md5sum is OK, try this instead of using k3b:
Code:
growisofs -speed=2 -dvd-compat -Z /dev/sr0=slackware-14.1-install-dvd.iso

Try enabling CSM compatibility mode in the UEFI options (assuming this is UEFI BIOS).
