I thought that this thread was a place to request updates to programs that are already included in Slackware and maybe request a program or library that isn't included. Please tell me if I am wrong.
And anything else you can think of that might make Slackware better.
That's why LuckyCyborg's request is fair. Also, he didn't ask us to agree with him
Slackware-current (state of development) seems clear enough.
Just have to quite habits that emerged with long time between releases. If it persist... well, those habits will no more appear wrong, won't they ?
Or Slackware could just drop XMMS instead of adding forks or forks or forks. Although I do love my Baldur's Gate theme.
Since XMMS2 is on SBo, it can stay there for those who want it. I switched to Audacious (fork of an XMMS fork). Slackware has quite a few media players already included in the main tree.

Reason: add image
I think xmms2 no succes cause im not see a gui for it , only from console , i request upgrade cause dont like see this super-old things gtk1 and realted , slackbuilds can adopt for xmms lovers.
I ever think slackware have too many media players , have in mind plasma provide 2 or 3 + xmms + audacious + mplayer + moc (music on console) , and probably some more i miss now.
I for one, I believe that its code should be merged directly into slackpkg, considering that any other major distribution have at least one remote packages manager which support multiple remote repositories.

I agree, either way, its functionality should be incorporated into Slackware proper! Your idea is much better but I'd settle for it just being added. Yes, many of us rely on being able to update all packages from "remote repositories" along with official updates just like other distributions! Please add this functionality to slackpkg (insert pleading emoji here).
Not that this is a democracy, and my vote doesn't count, but...this would be a good thing to happen. (Or in /extra at the very least.) Anyone who uses multilib uses it, as well. (I do hope Zerouno is just visiting friends/family for the holiday and is OK...)
