I am sure sure Pat can handle that simple problem. I did. but every time I use his build with out my fixes it is a crappy set of icons that do not refresh.
Simple stuff Eric.
I'm sure Eric would appreciate it if you sent your fixes on to him instead of complaining. You have done that, I assume?

Well, except k3b, the rest have substitutes in the "full" installation.
Maybe so, but they're not all exactly the same. The KDE versions tend to have nifty little features built in, some of which are very easy to become accustomed to using. For example:
  1. Tabs and clipboard support in Konsole.
  2. Ability to rip songs from CDs and automatically name the file and insert ID3 tags with a simple drag and drop in Konqueror.
  3. Code folding and multi-project/file support in Kate.
  4. Is there really a substitute for Kapman in the full installation??

I used to want to stay up to date on everything, used slackware current, experimented withe all the new distros when they came out. Now I am just happy to have a stable system that doesn't change something every other day. I am still a little put off by the automagical set up of X :-) Yes, I am becoming a cranky old man.

Simple stuff Eric.
Simple stuff Drakeo "pal". If I don't know something is broken for you I will not fix it. You are a broken record, too bad for you. You're getting more annoying every post.
Next post where you accuse me, I expect your screenshots, fixes and patches as well. I am totally fed up with people like you that tell me I do a bad job but refuse to tell me what to fix. Dyslexia is not an excuse for being asinine.

My guess is Drakeo, and one or two others, never heard the old saying "Never look a gift horse in the mouth". Oh well no worries Eric... it is impossible to please everyone so just go on pleasing yourself because it just so happens that pleases the majority of us as frosting on the cake. While I'm at it please accept my sincere gratitude for all your hard work. In my book you're a Prince.

It isn't even about a "gift horse" really. I want to deliver good and working stuff even if you don't pay for it. But I can not improve my work if people like Drakeo do not tell me where or what to improve. Vague insults and complaints are getting me nowhere.

Not much if you buy a pre-built which I usually go with. Also if I had to buy a PC now it would have an i7 Coffee Lake 8700K or 8086K.
