I love 'em, too ;)

I specifically make my shells login
shells to get a fortune in every
terminal window in X ;}

As for the -o ...
I personally prefer -s -a :}

Cheers,

I go through any new distro setups and specifically install em! I feel like something is wrong if I don't get a killer little saying everytime I login

Cool

i think its great. why once i just opened a terminal in mandrake and kept typing in fortune. over and over for like an hour. and it does sound stupid...but w/e. speaking of which how can you set up the computer to load programs at start? like say open a Xterm and run fortune?

Well that's the best part of fortune, with just a little bit of reading up and googling, you can find your own style of quotes to put in...

I know I removed a bunch from the standard package in mandrake and added a few like quotes from Homer, XFiles etc...
