Why not use Astaro as a normal day to day desktop??

This is probably a very stupid question by I was just wondering...

I relized that Astaro is really good at being a firewall, virus protection and all that security side, but why can't you use it as a normal day to day desktop system that you can work, play DVDs with??
I mean surely its yet another Linux operating system that you can install xorg and run fluxbox or kde and few apps to play DVDs....

You could, it just wouldn't have any of that stuff installed. You'd need to either find packages for those apps for your distro or install them from source.
