problem w/ hp Laserjet 1200 series printer under Slackware 9.1

Slackware is running great, but I tried to print and nothing. I'm trying to learn whether the hp Laserjet 1200 series is supported by Slackware 9.1 and if I can get it running.

I could not find info on the hp and slackware sites. I'm screwing up something basic I expect. Any help welcome.

Depends on which printing system you chose to
install ... I can help you with CUPS, I'd think, don't
know much about lprng, though.
