I've been using Slackware in my PC for a long time and it works awesome.
But, the other day I installed Slackware 12.1 on my laptop and I couldn't make the PPPoE connection work.
In my PC I do it with pppoe-setup and everything works perfectly. But in the laptop, I'm using a wireless connection (which works perfectly too), and it connects. But it doesn't load any website. Not even a ping to
www.google.com.
I checked /etc/ppp/resolv.conf and the DNS of my ISP were detected correctly (200.28.4.129 y 200.28.4.130).
The only way to make it work is to stop the network completely (/etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 stop) and to run pppoe-start. But I don't have to do this in my PC.
Does anybody know what is the problem?
