power saving in graphical login

I can turn off power (screen blanking) for text logins by editing /etc/rc.d/rc.M and changing the setterm line to
Code:
/bin/setterm -blank 0 -powersave off -powerdown 0
in kde4 I go to system settings, power, and untick Screen energy saving.
I can't find out how to turn off screen blanking/power saving at the (init4) graphical login. Under system settings, login screen I can't find any options relating to power saving.
As a user isn't logged in at this moment, how do I configure it to not blank the screen.?
(slackware 14.2)

I looked at that, and tried the following.
added
Code:
xset -dpms
xset s noblank
xset s off
to the bottom of the /etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup_0 script
added
Code:
Section "ServerFlags"
  Option "BlankTime" "0"
  Option "StandbyTime" "0"
  Option "SuspendTime" "0"
  Option "OffTime" "0"
EndSection
to /etc/X11/xorg.conf

that appears to work
