Opera browser - global equivalen of -notrayicon ?

In Opera 9.0 and later versions they have introduced a silly, ugly tray icon, that breaks the KDE tray.

While it's possible to modify the KDE menus to start opera with the "-notrayicon" option for each and every user, it would be much easier if there was a common command to be put in /etc/opera6.rc or similar that could disable the silly tray for all users.

Has anyone found such a hidden setting anywhere, or do I have to create shell aliases and modify KDE shortcuts for all users to stop the stupid tray?

(yeah, I know Konqueror doesn't have that problem, but I just prefer Opera..)

I prefer Opera too, and I freakin' hate that O icon too.
Though I haven't found how to get rid of it. I have seen it before in 8.xx versions for Windows but I never found either how to dissapear it.

I'm looking forward to get rid of it too

the solution is to edit script file /usr/bin/opera, and change startup parameters.

here's diff...
Code:
--- /usr/bin/opera     2006-07-28 08:26:30.000000000 +0200
+++ /usr/bin/opera     2006-08-14 10:00:44.000000000 +0200

 # Running Opera
-exec "${OPERA_BINARYDIR}opera" "$@"
+exec "${OPERA_BINARYDIR}opera" "-notrayicon" "$@"

Excellent call kosmik!

Now why didn't I think of checking if opera was a shell script myself... thanks much!
