mtu 1500 -> 1452

Hi there!

Because I have a router, i need to adjust the MTU in order to see some of the webpages (google included), otherwise they're reaaally slow.

with Winsdows i use an app called drTCP

with mandrake 10 i did the following:

Edit: /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
add a line to the file: MTU=1452

There does not seem to be such a file in slackware... Do you people have any idea how to fix this???

Thanx a lot for the effort!!

Vincent, Montreal

you could add a line like this to your /etc/rc.d/rc.local file:

ifconfig eth0 mtu 1452
