Mounting FAT fs on usb stick
'mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/usbstick' is not working.
Error message:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda1,
missing codepage or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so
how do i get my usb mounted as fat fs?

FAT32 should be detected automatically, so actually specifying it with -t is not really necessary.
That said, make sure that /dev/sda1 exists and is the device you think it is. Running "fdisk -l" should give you an idea of what is going on.

Are you making sure to run it at as root? As a normal user, you won't see anything.

For reference's take, you have to run "fdisk -l" as root.
But beyond that, this is a duplicate topic and should/will be closed.
