I didn't realize anyone was arguing. Actually i took your other comment to be joking around. But you can't really do everything in linux without knowing something about the command line. Alot of the stuff you have to learn, you just pick up as you struggle along solving one problem then the next. The biggest thing is to keep a good attitude and look at everything as a learning experience. There are numerous sites devoted to linux and some have helpful information. I know it is outdated in some respects but www.slackware.com/book has lot of basic information that you need to know. Then go from there.
