Install Slackware using a bootable USB stick

I made subject stick and installed Slackware on my desktop. Being happy with that, now I want to do the same on my HP netbook. But that same stick refuses to boot my laptop yet it boots my desktop. The netbook can boot from a USB Stick because this is how I did install Archbang on it. Why would I have such a hard time with this?

Have you tried to create the USB stick by using the usbimg2disk.sh script?

Have a look at the ftp://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/slackware/s...README_USB.TXT:

From the README_USB.TXT:
The usbimg2disk.sh script is also convenient if your computer refuses to
boot from a USB stick loaded with the usbboot.img file. The BIOS of some
computers will not understand the format of the default Slackware USB
image. Using the usbimg2disk.sh script, you create an alternative bootable
USB stick that will be recognized by your computers BIOS.

Just a possibility... some BIOS detect USB disk as Hard Disk instead of Removable USB - try checking your BIOS and look for you USB stick. Make sure it IS indeed the first in the boot order.

Ahhh that did it. And that script was right below the img file. Thanks.
