Making a USB stick bootable from a bootable cdrom

My mind must be gone.

I have a cdrom (bootable) that I want to copy over to a usb stick, and have THAT boot the system (Adding other files to it before hand)

I know it's easy, but how? I've already made a iso of the cdrom.

Any help would stop me from losing even MORE hair...lol

Since you have an ISO, i dont know if its the easiest solution but upgrading syslinux >= 3.72 will allow you to use the hybrid mode and then simply dd the ISO to the USB and use it to boot whenever you feel like it.
You can read some more info here: http://syslinux.zytor.com/wiki/index...HARD_DISK_MODE

Of course you could also use unetbootin.sourceforge.net instead. You might need some stuff outside of Slackware like p7zip in that case.

In many usb sticks they create a single logical partition. You also need to make it a primay partition and add a boot flag to to the partition to boot from the USB stick.
