how do you get rid of the yellow face above window ?

Now this must be a real noob question, how do you get rid of the annoying yellow face that is above windows like the the term windows and various others, might even be all. I've tried finding it in settings and everything, im sure I just don't know what it's called, any help would be great. thanks
