has any one upgraded from gcc3.3.4 to gcc3.4.3?


if so, could you please show me how? i've already downloaded it and i tried to install it but nothing happened, when i compile something it still uses 3.3.4.

how did you install it ( what commands - mainly what did you pass to configure?). if you don't do it right, your toolchain will be hosed.

I did this recently on Slackware 10.1. It was just a matter of removepkg-ing the gcc-3.3.4 packages and then installpkg-ing the gcc-3.4.3 packages from testing.

I'm now happily running the KDE 3.4.0 I compiled with gcc-3.4.3 so I know it works OK!
