Handbrake crashes in Slackware 14.2, 64 bit

I installed and tried to run Handbrake earlier today, but to no avail. I got the dependencies installed as well.

Here is my output from CLI:

Here is my LSPCI

I am not sure what to do. I put the file I wish to convert on the desktop folder, but I still get that issue.
Can one correct a segfault error in Slackware?

Also sent an e-mail to the maintainer and will update if he responds.

Can you try downloading my handbrake package for 64bit Slackware and see if that works without error? I know it works here and for others as well, so if it does not work for you there is a local problem at your end: http://bear.alienbase.nl/mirrors/peo...ke/pkg64/14.2/

Note: this package has no dependencies, and it is also a lot newer (0.10.5) than the 0.9.9 offered by slackbuilds.org.

Hello Alienbob,

Thanks for the response. Klaatu, the maintainer, got back to me with an updated Slackbuild for the newer version of Handbrake (0.10.5) and it works now. It turns out that some of his packages on Slackbuilds.org needed an update. I use Handbrake to optimize my videos for the web. I should have remembered to go to your site, it is my next stop when things are not working on sbopkg/Slackbuilds or when programs are simply not there. Many thanks.
