I have installed
GoogleEarth-5.2.1.1588-i486-1_SBo, I've gotten
libGL.so.1 and placed it in
/opt/GoogleEarth. GoogleEarth more or less starts up then crashes with the following

I'm kind of thinking that this all may have something to do with graphics drivers (I dunno, just seems possible). I have an ATI Radeon X300 card (yeah, older than dirt). I have tried installing the proprietary drivers from AMD:
