Handbrake on Slackware?
Anyone have a good tutorial on using HandbrakeCLI or if I can get the GUI on Slackware? I downloaded the Slackbuild and installed that but found out it was the CLI only.
I have a few DVD's I want to rip to a hdd so I don't have to swap them in and out all the time. I don't have spare hardware for a dedicated media PC front end at moment but if I can rip and store on my file server back end our bluray player can play them via minidlna (I do MP3's already that way)
Thanks.

AlienBoB provides compiled packages already (which includes the GUI). You can find it in the following link. Pick the Slackware version and architecture.

Well, it looks like the built packages are no longer there. Based on the README, you should be able to build it with no problems.

I think the Slackbuild should build Handbrake with a GTK 3 gui by default. Did you try typing ghb instead of HandbrakeCLI? Also most of its dependencies are built statically into it and will download during compiliation time if I remember correctly.
EDIT: ghb is the GTK commmand for handbrake.

My pre-built Handbrake packages can be found here: http://taper.alienbase.nl/mirrors/pe...lds/handbrake/
They do not require any other software package to be installed (apart from a full Slackware install of course). The GUI program is added as a menu entry, the GUI program is indeed called "/usr/bin/ghb".
