Gnome desktop problems

Alright, this is pissing me off...

I have a user that saved their current desktop which included a terminal and xchat and now when they log in to X, an error message pops up. It says it has to close a panel. It does this when the terminal icon shows its trying to load.

Is there a file that has this setup I can delete to get a clean, clear desktop?

Thanks!

You could delete all your hidden gnome folders at your /home/user/ directory(eg "rm -rf .gnome2"), so next time you start gnome, a fresh new one will appear for you. The drawback is that all your configuration files for gnome will be lost, but that is quick to fix too

... or (I think) you can just remove the user's ~/.gnome2/session file. Worth a try if it comes up again
