hi. I tried right clicking a wallpaper image in firefox to set as my wallpaper but now my wallpaper is a dull purple color, i can't see my icons, and it appears i can't right click to get a menu. It is like that for all the desktops. I tried to change the wallpaper in preferences but it wouldn't let me. I could see the wall paper in the selections but it was originally a jpeg image but in the menu it changed the name to firefox-wallpaper or something similar with the file extension .png. I tried changing the wallpaper both as a user and root. Im using fedora core 2 with the gnome desktop. Has anyone had this problem occur and where able to fix it?

I'm also having the same problemas above but it didn't start with FireFox - I did change the wallpaper manually though. I tried creating a new user account and logging in with that account and the desktop showed up like it should.

Anyone else come across this problem? know how to fix it?

after i restarted the problem went away. Have you tried restarting?

it goes away after restarting sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. I haven't been able to figure out exactly when the problem occurs...
