File Priviledges with installpkg

If I install a package with installpkg as root, how can I make it so that other users are able to run the installed program? I have tried to slocate the installed files to chmod them, but I couldnt find them on the system like I could if I installed manually from source. Can anyone help me here?

As for the location of installed files:

less /var/log/packages/<package-name>
