error 104

google for 104 error leads but make sure u ran 'xorgconfig' correctly for ur system.
crc refers to nic i believe. Try lsmod and check for crc there. lspci and lsusb can give u more info on hw.
Good luck.

Actually 'CRC' stands for 'Cyclic Redundancy Check' and isn't directly related to anything to do with networking - it's a checksum that is usually used to make sure a disc file or image is correct. How certain are you that the disc(s) that you installed from are error-free?

'Error 104' is non-specific and depends on the programme/installer you are trying to use.

errors 104 and crc errors

googling crc errors suggest install media problem. Listed messages suggest u do md5sum check on isos and cds, if they're ok then if used cdrw then a newer cdrw disk or a cdr(not re writable) may work. My lst SLW10.2 install cdrw disk was giving random errors so install was missing files. Since isos checked ok i recorded disk 1 on cdr and now no errors.
the only other reference to crc in my SLW10.2 system was in lsmod where crc-- module was used by pppd..
i cannot give help on specific xorg.conf errors. i have GFTi4200 card and ist did xconfig during setup then ran xorgconfig with nv driver until i dl'd nvidia driver and ran it. Then editting /etc/xorg.conf to change nv to nvidia worked. Ati setup is different. There are many 104 error lead on google and maybe on LQ forum search.
Specify ur video card, mob, nic and reask ur question on LQ forum. At top of LQ SLW forums are 'this is how i do everything' and lower down FAQ. Sorry and good luck.
