I have started to put plastic key tags on the drives that has a hole or loop they can attached in. (Sometimes annoying that the usb stick lid now can't be put in the back side of the stick when not in use (not applicable to all sticks though).)
All in all it's (to me at least) a good enough solution.
Not all drives has such loops/holes, but regretting your disicions when having gotten ones without them is also an option
