Oh I understand your reasoning, it makes sense and I agree to a large degree. That said, in this day and age, trust but verify is important. Since the Paypal has been verified I use that. I have a Patreon account so supporting that account would be a piece of cake.

PV, can you confirm if this is authentic? PM sent as well.
I don't know, that post doesn't really sound like Pat, so I'd be a tad bit suspicious about it.

August Fool's Day!

Just sent my usual (small) monthly (mostly) donation. Encouraging others to do the same.

14 now, and I'm one of them. I will be very surprised if it's inauthentic.

Made my usual monthly donation too, but sticking with paypal until such time the authenticity of the patreon is verified.

And we have official confirmation from PV: https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...ml#post6021503

PS: I like how it will provide a bit of transparency regarding the donors (patreons)/support for Slackware.

I am very sorry for Patrick's situation and would like to make a donation.

I would also like to tell you that I am looking forward to the release of slackware 15.0 and thank you for your excellent work.
