Does someone have intel536ep and slack 10.1 working?

I'm trying to set up internet on my machine runing slackware 10.1.

I've tried 9. and 15. drivers from this page => hxxp://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/Filter_Results.asp?selCat=all&strOSs=39&ProductID=977&page_nbr=2
and i can't make it work.

One of the drivers caused OS failure.

Other one works ok. Connection is established but the connection is slow almost dead. In two days playing with this driver i've opened only one web page.

KPPP settings (DNS, etc.) are OK.

I also have eth0.

Can someone point me to the tested (working) driver.

hi, my modem works fine, i used the Intel-536ep-453.tgz driver, the only trouble was that when i "make 536" i got an error saying that it didn't recognize my version (slackware), so i found this on some site:

Code:
elif [ -a /etc/slackware-version ]; then {    if [ -a ./hamregistry.bin ]; then    {       mv -f /etc/hamregistry.bin /etc/hamregistry.bak       cp ./hamregistry.bin /etc/hamregistry.bin    }    else    {       rm -f /etc/hamregistry.bin    }    fi    echo installing hamregistry,  used for persistant storage    install -o root -g root -m 110 hamregistry /usr/sbin    echo installing 536ep module    install -o root -g root -m 664 536ep.o ${CharModDir}/536ep.o    echo installing 536epcore module    install -o root -g root -m 664 536epcore.o ${CharModDir}/536epcore.o     echo seting up slackware 536ep-boot script    install -o root -g root -m 110 536ep-boot /etc/rc.d    if ! grep hamboot /etc/rc.d/rc.local > /dev/null 2> /dev/null; then    {       echo "/etc/rc.d/536ep-boot start" >> /etc/rc.d/rc.local    }    fi }
you have to add this to your 536ep-inst file before "make 536" so that it can load the modules at boot time. after that, it worked perfect for me, i always get 46666 speed.
