Connecting to Wireless Printer

I am running Slackware 13.1. I have a Samsung SCX-4720FN connected to a Linksys wireless access point. How can I install this printer. Well first off, how can I even detect it to start installing it. What tool should I use?

You can do it through CUPS. If I remember correctly you can select LPD/LPR and then set it up with an IP address:

lpd://192.168.1.101/p1

And obviously you tailor the IP address to taste. The Linkys print server have a queue name after the IP address, that is the /p1 bit. You might have to do a little digging to find out what it is for your server.

That didn't work, but in the manual, it says you can use ipp, and said to use:

ipp://[ip_address]/ipp/p1

I tried that also, and I can't get it to work. Basically when I print a test page, it just sits in the queue forever, it never makes it to the printer. Do you have any suggestions?

Cool! Glad it was a simple issue because I had no more ideas...
