configure wifi adapter in slackware 12.0

hi group, i tried following the readme file included in the driver of the usb network adapter but seems its not exact. . .

any ideas on how i can configure it manually? KDE does not detect any wifi device. .(of course since no driver is installed yet)

by the way, i dont have router.

i used my desktop (win***)with DSL connection and installed the driver of the usb net adapter.. made it as the access point. . so my laptop detects the desktop as wifi spot. . .

i wanted to try it in my slackware. ..

What kind of usb-wifi-dongle do you have? Do you know what kind of chipset it has? Some wifi-chipsets are still pretty bad in linux, and sometimes to get it working in a decent manner you need to use ndiswrapper.
