Has anyone been able to compile
[Incr TCL] On Slackware?
It is one of the packages necessary to install
sguil, which is a security analysis console for Snort. I cannot get [Incr tcl] or [Incr Widgets] to compile however.
I run the configure script, and everything it needs is found [such as tclConfig.sh and tcl8.4.6]. No problems there, but then when I try to run make all [or make], I get an endless list of errors.
I hate to even post it, because there are so many errors, but here is a copy of what the Makefile returns when run. This is on Slack 10.1
[EDIT] Output too long to post. Please see post below for output of 'Make'
That's itcl3.3. I have also tryed installing itcl3.2, hoping that it would do better, but it will not compile either.
Anyways, tcl is not something I am not even remotely familiar with. I have not delved into that subject at all. I've actually never installed anything that even uses tcl, I dont think. anyways, I wouldn't worry about it, except that IDS is one of my main areas of research and I would really like to be able to get sguil installed, so that I can at least familiarize myself with it. But beings that sguil requires iwidgets for the client portion of the program, and iwidgets requires itcl, I am not going to be able to do so without getting this installed.
So if anyone has any ideas 'bout what the problem is here, please give me some feedback!
Thanks...
