hi i just build a new linux box running slackware9.0.my main purposed is to use it as a chat server for our company,to able to have chat with our client. any suggestion what chat software is a web base and easy to setup??? thks
I'm trying to install phpmychat on a slackware system, but I need MySQL installed as well. With that done, it is supposed to work well. Plus, it's free at www.phpheaven.net.
We use jabberd at work on a slack-8.0 server & windoze clients from jabber.com. It works great without the hussle of irc, plus it has clients for linux/windoze/mac & I think it also has a java client for web browsers.
