Changing Kernel

Hi!! I use slackware 12.2 with 2.6.27.7-smp Kernel. In kernel.org i saw the 2.6.32.3 kernel and it is stable. So i want for a first time in my linux carrier to change my kernel.. Is there any guide to help you how to do it ? Also do you suggest me anything to be careful ?

Any idea welcome..

Thanks in advanced!

In addition to brianL's above-mentioned link you should check out Robby's how to on upgrading to the 2.6.32.X kernel as there are some issues you need to be aware of.
