please don't throw rocks at me. I know it's ready when it's ready.
just curious to know whether it's still months away from public release
No formal release date yet. However, we've had the first release candidate a while back and KDE has been updated a lot. I would hazard a guess that we're closer to 15.0.
Only the inner circle of Slackware knows when it's happening. I would guess weeks or a few months.
This is nothing but pure speculation, but once we get KDE 5.23, then all I can image is left is whether Pat wants to hold out for the next LTS kernel or just release and upgrade the kernel till it hits LTS like he mentioned a few months back. Either way I can't imagine a scenario where we don't get 15.0 by years end.
I've read my tea leaves (awkward using teabags), read the Tarot, gazed into my crystal balls, and inspected the entrails of various animals (2 & 4 legged)...and I haven't a clue. Sorry.
