Upgrade to MySQL 4?

I can't believe no one has asked this already... or maybe I'm just using too many keywords...

Is there an easy way to upgrade RH9's MySQL (version 3.23.58) to MySQL 4?

I've downloaded the RPMs and attempted a -F and a -U, but both have numerous dependancy failures.

I would stronly reccomend installing it from source. Don't forget to update any 3.23 tables. There is a good LAMPS guide at:
