A default install of CentOS 5 will always include those files.
Unless it's a CLI only OS.
The files are provided by the package 'gtk2'.
The command 'rpm -qa gtk2' will reply with installed version.
Are you sure that your OS is 64bits ?
The command 'uname -m' will show your architecture.
