cannot mount SATA drives

I downloaded SiI 3112 drivers from Asus website (got a A7N8X motherboard), and installed RH9 with the "dd hde=noprobe hdg=noprobe" string at booting from CD, then inserted driver disk when asked for it and installer has installed SiI drivers. I've installed RH9 and, during the installation process, I notice that SATA RAID 0 set has been succesfully recognized ... I choosed to install on my IDE drive (my RAID0 set is only for storage purposes). However, after installed it, I can't see /dev/sda. After installed NTFS support (got a NTFS partition on RAID set), I still can't mount that partition.

/dev/sda is not a valid block device

when booting, I see that SiI controller is recognized ... but it seems to not recognize RAID set. The strange thing is that, during installation process, I viewed the set and it was ok.

# /sbin/fdisk -l

Disk /dev/hdg: 122.9 GB, 122942324736 bytes

Units = cylinders of 1008 * 512 = 516096 bytes

Disk /dev/hdg doesn't contain a valid partition table

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System

Disk /dev/hda: 81.9 GB, 81964302336 bytes
