which editor for php, perl, python and .net?


My system is Mandriva 2006 and my desktop is kde.I want to use perl,php,python and .net programming language so i want to install editor which run these programming language.
Which editor can i use?

Please help me...

i like SciTE. i even brag about it here. It is cross-platform, you can customize about everything, and supports more languages than most of them out there. I don't know anything about .net, but i do like it for everything i do (php, html, python, ruby, bash). A lot of folk out there really like jEdit. I like it too, just not as much as SciTE.

The best thing for you to do is try out a few editors or ides and then pick the one you like. As it is, other people may just suggest their favourite editor, which may not be really helpful to you.

Sounds like you're after an IDE, not an editor.

I wouldn't know one, to be honest, since for PHP I'm expect the run to
be web-stuff.

eclipse has a really cool php plugin. Cool rails, ruby, python, etc...

maybe check that one out

i have never used the python plugin for eclipse, but i have used the php and perl plugins and would reccommend them both.
