SerialPort("COM1",9600)

Hi,

I am using Mono on Debian and I want to use the following code to read data from serial port just like I was doing in C# on Windows:

Quote:
SerialPort serial_port = new SerialPort("COM1",9600);
Is this correct on Linux? I mean the Port name?

A quick Google search turns up lots, like this example on the Mono project site itself:
http://www.mono-project.com/HowToSystemIOPorts

Did you try to look this up? COMx is Windows-only, so it would not exist outside of Windows. Linux serial ports are /dev/ttySxx, as the examples show.
