radeon 9600 AGPMode "8" not working

On the http://ati.amd.com/products/Mobility.../features.html it is said that my card(mobility radeon 9600 m10) supports AGP 8x, but when i set Option "AGPMode" "8" the computer freezes.
Besides that, i have another question. Where do people get those options in the device section of their xorg.conf? For my card i had to type in google.com/linux my card's name and grab lines for it from different forums. Where can i get the exact info for my card? Or maybe list of options with description for opensource ati driver. Can't setup proprietary fglrx driver, it is VERY buggy for my card: machine suddenly freezes, sometimes i got transparent squares instead of GUI and so on.
my device section:
Code:
Section "Device"
    Identifier "Mobility Radeon 9600 M10"
    Driver "radeon"
    Option "dri" "true"
    Option "ColorTiling" "on"
    Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps"
    Option "AGPMode" "1"
    Option "AGPFastWrite" "on"
    Option "GARTSize" "256"
    Option "AGPSize" "128"
    Option "RingSize" "8"
    Option "VideoOverlay" "on"
    Option "BufferSize" "2"
    Option "EnableDepthMoves" "true"
    Option "RenderAccel" "true"
    Option "EnablePageFlip" "true"
    Option "DynamicClocks" "true"
    Option "BIOSHotkeys" "true"
    #Option "AccelMethod" "exa"
    BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
    #VideoRam 65536
    # Insert Clocks lines here if appropriate
EndSection

The fastest way of finding which options the radeon driver supports is to type "man radeon" at the command prompt. The Gentoo Wiki has some links for driver options. The Xorg Wiki Radeon page is basically just the man page.
